The shares of Ashok Leyland hiked on winning the order from Senegal to supply around 400 minibusses valuing around Euro 10.06 million. The order is from Senbus Industries which is well-known for assembling urban buses in Dakar. The company has signed a big contract for manufacturing and delivering 400 units of Eagle 916 Minibuses from Ashok Leyland.
Arijit Chowdhury – Vice President of Project 81 Defence sales & International Operations of Ashok Leyland said “This supply will be an initial phase to connect remote areas of Senegal to cities & promote sustainable mobility” He further added, “This will empower private transport sectors in Senegal”.
