The shares of Wipro hiked 8% on Monday morning after signing the largest deal worth $1.5 billion. The stock reached an intraday high of INR 328 and low of INR 317.30. A company signed a deal worth USD 1.5 billion for 10 years with Illinois-based Alight Solutions that deals in the technology-enabled wealth, HR, health and finance solutions.
With this deal, Wipro has joined the Federation of its larger rival TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) which has been signing the mammoth deals. The company has signed three large deals and the combined revenue of around USD 5 billion till Dec-2017.
Alight HR services India was earlier known as Aon HR Services India was set up in Sept 2016 and has more than 9,000 employees & reported revenue of INR 1,132 crore in the fiscal year 2017-18. It has main 4 centers in Gurugram, Mumbai, Noida, and Chennai. This is a first deal has been signed by a company after CEO Abidali Neemuchwala took charge in the year 2016.
The stock of Wipro has gained about 15% in the last month and the stock raised approx. 7% in the last 3 days. At 1:27 PM September 3 2018, the share price was quoting INR 314.80 up INR 13.55 or 4.50%.
